Born at Red Lake, New Mexico, she was the daughter of Clarence and Eva Ginnings. She moved to Arizona in 1962 and was head matron of the state women's prison that was located in Florence. She later worked at Sun Photo processing lab in Coolidge for 13 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and working in her yard.
