Mary G. Hernandez

CASA GRANDE - Mary G. Hernandez, 77, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 4, 2016.

Mrs. Hernandez was born on Aug. 24, 1939, in Tucson to Conrad and Beatrice Gamez. She was devoted to her family and was an assistant supervisor for more than 10 years at Bashas’ Deli after it opened in Casa Grande.

She was a fun-loving woman who was full of humor, and her laugh was infectious. The party always started when she arrived. Full of life and very social, she was known as the best cook in the family as well as a great seamstress. She loved her life and those in it.


Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Carlos; four daughters and sons, Connie Reyna, Carlos Hernandez Jr., Margaret Duran and Gabriel Hernandez; a brother and sister, Raul Gamez Sr. and Lydia Sanchez; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Conrad Gamez Jr., Ruben Gamez and Laura Ornelas, and a granddaughter, Chelsea Marie Reyna.

Rosary will be recited at noon Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. A scripture service will follow, with the Rev. Ariel Lustan officiating.
