Mary Lois Grasty

CASA GRANDE - Mary Lois Grasty, 94, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 25, 2017.

Mrs. Grasty was born on July 15, 1922, in Greenville, South Carolina, and was the oldest of four children. She moved to Casa Grande after marrying her husband, Emmett, on Aug. 22, 1947. She had a big heart filled with love and compassion for everyone she knew.

She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge, Round Table, the historical society and a hospital auxiliary volunteer. After church she loved to take Sunday road trips all over Arizona with her family. As a nurse she touched many lives. She was a candy striper for years before attending college to begin her career as a nurse. She also volunteered with the long-term-care unit after her retirement.

Survivors include her four adult children, Mary Jane, Tom, Paul and Carol; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 3, at First Presbyterian Church. Funeral following at 2. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
