Mary S. Lopez

Mary S. Lopez, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on April 15, 1930, to Sally Mae Pancho and Jose Phillip Lopez, Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put her family first.

Known as the rock of her family, Mary's warmth and humor filled the lives of those around her. She had a passion for cooking, often preparing delicious homemade meals for family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her deep spiritual faith and traditional values were a guiding force in her life, and she remained close to God throughout her journey.

Mary is survived by her four children, Phillip Lopez, Delphine Lopez, Philbert, and Lucinda Turvin, as well as eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four children: Pauline, Manford, Renarda Lopez, and a baby boy Lopez, in addition to one brother.

An all-night wake service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the residence of Phillip Lopez in Santa Rosa Village. A burial service will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. at Santa Rose Cemetery on the Tohono O'odham Nation.

Arrangements are being handled by J. Warren Funeral Services. Mary S. Lopez will be remembered for her impactful life and the love she shared with her family and community.
