BAPCHULE — Mary T. Luna, 69, died on April 19, 2011, at Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday at the District 5 Service Center, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Mrs. Luna was born on Aug. 14, 1941, in Casa Blanca. She was a homemaker and a hard worker. She loved to spend time with her family and going to church. She liked to clean and move things and was very active around the house. Her favorite show was “Family Feud,” and she liked to listen to all kinds of music and cook. She loved to make chumath and taught her family how. She was a good listener and gave good advice.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Luna of Bapchule and Nelsie Luna of Casa Blanca; two sons, Clyde Luna and Sherwin Rivers of Casa Blanca; three sisters, Natalie Baca and Leola Garcia of Phoenix and Sandra Meyers of Casa Blanca; two brothers, Vernon Miguel of Casa Blanca and Ruper White of Ak-Chin; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elias C.; a son, Lester Luna; a brother, Leander White Sr.; her mother, Irene Miguel; and a grandson, Elias Martinez.
