Mary M. Blackwell

CASA GRANDE - Mary M. Blackwell, 82, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 16, 2018, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Blackwell was born on July 24, 1936, in Fairmont, North Carolina, to Mayo and Arias Woodbury. She loved to fish, knit, cook and watch wrestling. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Henry; six daughters, Diane Blackwell of Casa Grande, Lisa Harris and Wanda Strickland of Yonkers, New York, Mabel Cummings of El Cajon, California, Barbara Eaves-Bruford of Georgia and Mayola Thompson of Seattle; and two sons, Louis Blackwell of Elmsford, New York, and James Thompson of El Cajon. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cassandra Blackwell-Bryant.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel.
