Mary Yvette Molina, 66 of Sacaton, passed away on February 14, 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 8,1956, in Phoenix to Manuel Ochoa and Verna Whitman. Mary started her teaching career at Phoenix Indian High School, then retired after 25+ years from Casa Blanca Community School. Mary loved her job, her students and faculty so much that she didn't retire until she was placed under Hospice care. She was full of life, love and laughter. There was never a dull day with Mary. She had a great sense of humor and always made others laugh. Mary enjoyed going to the casino with her Husband and family dinners with her loved ones. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She considered all the children in and around her family as her grandchildren. Mary was a loving and caring woman to not only her family, but also to her friends. She always made sure others never went without.
Mary is survived by her husband Henry C. Molina Sr., Daughter Trudy and Son James Molina, brother Dwayne Whitman Sr, 8 Grandchildren and many others she considered grandchildren. She preceded in death by her parents, a son Henry C. Molina Jr., a sister Manuela Ochoa-Wilson and a nephew Dwayne Whitman Jr.
A wake will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 6pm, at the District 3 Service Center (Old Building) in Sacaton, Funeral Services, Sunday, February 26, 2023 beginning at 7am at First Pima Baptist Church, 38 S. Sacaton Rd., burial to follow at Sacaton East Cemetery.
