Mary Jean Ortiz, 61, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 21, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 3. A scripture service will begin at 3:30.
Ms. Ortiz was born on Oct. 22, 1951, in Weslaco, Texas. She was a production worker in manufacturing. She loved to go to casinos, be with her grandkids, dance cumbias, read, watch TV and attend get-togethers, where she was the center of attention. Known to her family as Tia BeBe, she always had a smile and a good mood. People loved her laugh.
Survivors include two sons, Aaron and Noe Ortiz of Casa Grande; a daughter Noemi Ortiz of Casa Grande; four brothers, Johnny Martinez of Georgia, Ramiro and Ruben Martinez of Casa Grande and Pete Martinez of Mesa; three sisters, Yolanda Tapia, her twin Mary Helen Petit and MaryGrace "Chachi" Zavala, all of Casa Grande; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Petra and Eleno Martinez Sr., and a brother, Eleno Martinez Jr.
