Mary Phyllis Hernandez

STOTONIC - Mary Phyllis Hernandez, 76, died at her home in Stotonic on Dec. 13, 2019.

Mrs. Hernandez was born on Feb. 26, 1943, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Richard and May Lopez. She was a hardworking woman and always wanted to help those in need. She was a loyal friend and the sturdy backbone of her family.

She enjoyed listening and dancing to music, being with her friends and spending time with her family. She was known for her kind, generous and encouraging spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Hernandez; a daughter, Darlene Mendoza; a son, Robert Hernandez; and a brother. Survivors include a son, Rick Mendoza; a daughter, Victoria Lowman; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, at the District 4 Service Center in Santan. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial in St. Anne Cemetery.
