Mary Lousie Watson

October 4, 1937 — August 25, 2024

Coolidge

Mary Louise Watson, born on October 4, 1937, departed from this earthly life on Sunday, August 25, 2024, to be forever with the Lord. A faithful wife and mother to five sons and an untold number of foster children, Mom was a devoted, prayerful servant of God. She was always diligent in her doings and yet humble, never considering herself above others. Many praised her, but it was well known among the family that it was not due to any grandeur acts of works; rather, it was her fear of the Lord and her discreet, steadfast attention to the physical and spiritual welfare of her husband, children, and others around her that all took special note of. Although reserved and never one to draw attention to herself, she earned the thoughtful admiration and respect of everyone in the community -- a respect that is near impossible to quantify, articulate or express. We never heard an unkind word uttered against her, and perhaps that is the result of someone who went about her daily life subconsciously mirroring the excellence described in Proverbs 31:10-31. Mom was a person of few words, but her love speaks volumes. It is her legacy.

Mary Watson was the youngest of seven children born to Solomon and Tessa Fern Looper. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Charles Watson Jr., and four sons, Michael, Raymond, Charles III, and Everett. A fifth son, Paul, preceded her in death. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m., at the Church of Christ in Coolidge, AZ. Everyone is welcome. We shall soon see you again Mom. Psalm 116:15.
