COOLIDGE - MaryAnn (Mariana) Lopez Davila, 65, of Coolidge died on Sept. 20, 2014.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Adolfo Martinez. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.
Mrs. Davila was born on Feb. 17, 1949, in Mesa and grew up in Campbell, California. She moved to Kingsburg, California, in 1963 and began raising a family in 1971. She moved back to Arizona in 1985 and was an agricultural contractor. She and her husband owned and operated Carniceria Mi Torito in Coolidge.
She enjoyed being in the kitchen and cooking for her family and friends. She fed and helped many people, never turning her back on those down on their luck. She was the backbone of her family, and she adored her grandchildren and loved all of her nieces and nephews. She was proud of her store and always tried to go the extra mile for her customers. A collector of antiques, she also enjoyed caring for her many pets.
Survivors include her husband, Gregorio; two daughters, Laura Davila Mendibles and Regina Davila ALaTorre of Coolidge; her mother, Lupe Lopez of Hanford, California; four sisters, Angelina Lopez Ramirez and Hilda Lopez Guerra of Kingsburg, Christina Nunez and Cynthia Vasquez of Dinuba, California; a brother, Fernando Lopez of Kingsburg; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph M. Lopez, and a sister, Lupe Lopez Garcia.
