STANFIELD - Matilda S. Bonilla, 81, of Stanfield died on May 29, 2014, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 7. A scripture service will be held there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Ms. Bonilla was born on Oct. 20, 1932, in Hines, Texas, and was a daughter of Domacio Solano and Ponciana Hernandez. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing card games and listening to music. Her family was her pride and joy, and she especially enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers. She was an avid Diamondbacks fan.
Survivors include three sons, Felix S. Bonilla of Stanfield, Richard S. Bonilla of Hernando, Fla., and Reymundo S. Bonilla of Glendale; seven daughters, Irene S. Pelayo, Irma B. Tavares, Vera S. Cuellar, Ida S. and Elizabeth S. Bonilla, all of Casa Grande, Rita Ruiz of Arizona City and Beatrice S. Encinas of Tucson; a brother, Domacio Solano Jr. of Stanfield; three sisters, Anita Hendrickson and Adelina Honeybone of Casa Grande and Maria Lopez of Oroville, Calif.; and 35 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jose F. and Fernando S. Bonilla.
