Matthew Tracy Powers

Matthew Tracy Powers, 53, of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on March 27, 1965 in Frankfurt, Germany to James and Wilma Powers as James was serving there in the U.S. Army. Matthew (Matt) went into the field of Aviation immediately upon leaving high school. In his career he worked as an aircraft technician for America West, Continental Airlines and Southwest Airlines, where he was honorarily retired. He loved taking vacations with his family to ocean destinations where he could scuba dive. He was also an avid auto mechanic and enjoyed rebuilding cars.

Matt is survived by his wife, Pree and son, Matthew; by his
brother, Joey and his family, Graciela, Jackie and Jimmy; by his
sister, Paula Sherre and her son, Malcom; and by his brother, Mark
and his family, Robyn, Nicholas and Justin. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Wilma Powers.

Visitation will be this Friday at 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony
of Padua Catholic Church, Casa Grande, AZ. Rosary will be held at
9:30 and Funeral Mass will start at 10:00 a.m.
