Mattie Lee Johnson

Mattie Lee Johnson, 91, of Casa Grande died Sept. 20, 2009, at home.

The memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens House, with Pastor Harley Faber officiating.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 5, 1918 in Ella, Ky., and was a daughter of Bell and William McQuery. She was a production worker in manufacturing. She was devoted to her family and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Johnson of Casa Grande and Fred Johnson of Mulberry, Fla.; a sister, Nancy Green of Georgia; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman; a son, Sidney Johnson; a brother, William “Speed” McQuery; and three sisters, Betty Spina, Josephine Rigsby and Mary Smith.
