Maureen "Moe" Lawrence, 67, of Casa Grande died on June 21, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Lawrence was born on Nov. 7, 1944, in Hartford, Conn. Maureen "Moe" led a creative and full life, with interests that ranged from hairdressing to stained glass to gardening to interior decorating and all things artistic. She loved thrift stores, yardsales, people, plants and animals.
She has left 4 children, 2 grandchildren, and many, many friends who were the joy and pride of her life. She was a little woman who drove a big school bus for many years, caring deeply for co-workers and the kids. Maureen was very generous and always wanted to take care of others. She was opinionated with the personal strength to tell it like it is. She was infamous for using her index finger to strongly point the people she loved down the right paths. Moe was a "pistol" and though it was time to go, she will be remembered with love and incredibly missed.
There will be no funeral services. The family invites friends to a celebration of her life at her home, Sunday June 24th from 6-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to BFE Animal Rescue and Sanctuary 435 W. Coolidge Ave., Coolidge, AZ 85128.
