Melba Alice Cox, born January 25, 1920 in Bellevue, Ohio to Joseph Mansberger and Daisy Lawless, passed away October 16, 2012 at the age of 92. She will be missed and remembered by her close friends and family, including her daughter Juanita Wright of Casa Grande, AZ, her granddaughter Jenifer Drennan of Houston, TX, and her grandsons Adam Johnson and his wife Sabrina of Gilbert, AZ and Christopher Garner and his fiancé Larna of Casa Grande, AZ. Also celebrating her life are her great-grandchildren Cody West of Casa Grande, AZ, Samantha Drennan of Houston, TX, and special "adopted" grandson BJ Pfander of Casa Grande, AZ. Melba graduated from Ohio State University with degrees in business and education. She loved sports, her favorites being her Cubbies, Ohio State football, and Notre Dame football. In her younger years she loved to camp and fish. She loved anything involving arts and crafts, including crochet, embroidering, latch hook, and making Christmas stockings. Melba was also an avid reader and she instilled her love of literature in her children and grandchildren, as well. Nana has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who have known her and she will be missed greatly. Services will be held at a later date.
