STANFIELD -Melrosa Mildred Johnson, 82, of Stanfield died Dec. 7, 2008 at Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. The funeral will follow at 11, with Elder Billie Joe Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born and was a daughter of George W. Smith and Ethel M. Bishop. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, fishing and cooking.
Survivors include six sons, William Johnson of Phoenix, Oliver, Roy L., James R. and Ricky Johnson, all of Stanfield, and Sammie L. Johnson; four daughters, Helen R. Willis of Tucson, Ruby M., Diane M. and Kathy L. Johnson, all of Stanfield; two stepdaughters, Lorraine and Roseanne Antone of Cuckelbur; two brothers, James L. and Pleas A. Smith of Tucson; three sisters, Joelene Cooper and Shirley Thomas of Tucson and Nora Johnson of Casa Grande; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver; a daughter, Willie M. Deloney; a brother, George Johnson Jr.; and two sisters, Willie B. Musgrove and Linda F. Bacon.
