Melvin Jones

Melvin Jones, 48, of Casa Grande died on May 29, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God. A funeral will follow at 10 for Mr. Jones and two family members who died about the same time. Elder Anthony Edwards will officiate.
Mr. Jones was born on Aug. 17, 1963, in Casa Grande. He attended East (Palo Verde) Elementary School and Casa Grande Union High School. He was a farmworker until receiving an injury. He loved music and cracking jokes and was known as something of a character. He also loved animals, fishing and hunting. He was kindhearted.
Survivors include a son, Tramel Jones of Casa Grande; his father, Sam Jones of Casa Grande; four sisters, Theresa Jones of Mesa, Christine and Shavanda Jones and Annette Gulley, all of Casa Grande; two brothers, Glen Jones of Casa Grande and Darrell Jones of Flint, Mich.; His mother, Exaveola Jones, died the same day, and he was preceded in death by a brother, Sammie Jones.
