Merced Vidal

Merced Y. Vidal Sr., 71, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 14, 2013, at home.
Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11.
Mr. Vidal was born on Nov. 26, 1941, in Mexico and was a son of Roman and San Juana Vidal. He was an upholsterer and a big Raiders fan who enjoyed going to sports games and watching on TV. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church and liked to be with his family, especially the young children. He was a joker with a great sense of humor and liked to go to swap meets and collect unusual things.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma V. Zuniga of Casa Grande and Lydia Vidal of Arizona City; two sons, Merced Vidal Jr. and Ernesto Vidal of Casa Grande; two sisters, Irma Vidal of Casa Grande and Yolanda Cruz of Eloy; six brothers, Raul Vidal of Eloy, Roman Vidal of El Paso, Texas, Armando Vidal of Tucson, Enrique Vidal of Casa Grande, Daniel and Albert Vidal of Eloy; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Herberto Vidal, and a sister, Olga De La Torre.
