STOTONIC — Merlin Gene “Loco” Terry, 48, of Stotonic died on Aug. 16, 2010, at Caring House in Sacaton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the District 4 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 6 a.m. Sunday in Lower Santan Cemetery, with Pastor Irving Terry officiating.
Mr. Terry was born on May 6, 1962, in Sacaton. He worked in construction and was a quiet, carefree man. He loved to eat fry bread with chili and hang out with friends playing horseshoes. He was very friendly and helpful, had a big heart and loved watching Diamondbacks, Suns, Cardinals, Arizona State and Arizona games.
Survivors include his mother, Thelma Terry of Stotonic; five sisters, Marilyn Lopez of Sacaton, Juanita Brown of Gila Butte, Iris Murgia of Blackwater, Elva Terry and Olivia Johnson of Stotonic; and three brothers, Hulet Terry of Stotonic, Alfonzo Terry of Sacaton and Delvin Terry of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Terry; three brothers, Neil, Harold and Perry Terry; two sisters, Lorena Nish and Flora Terry (Brown); three nieces; and a nephew.
