Michael Gifford

Michael Jeff Gifford, 51, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 13, 2013, at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear.

Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Gifford was born on Jan. 24, 1962, in Rochester, N.Y. He had a career in the Navy and retired as a chief petty officer after 23 years, including service in Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Cassandra L. Gifford of Casa Grande; a son, Clayton M. Gifford of Martinsville, Ind.; a sister, Dawn Gifford of Coolidge; two brothers, Daniel Gifford of Phoenix and Patrick Gifford of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael A. Gifford and Patricia L. Vosburgh.
