BLACKWATER - Michael "Mike" Norris Sr., 75, of Phoenix died on Feb. 12, 2015, at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the District 1 Multipurpose Building (old service center). The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday in North Blackwater Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Ruiz officiating.
Mr. Norris was born on Oct. 15, 1939, in Sacaton and was a son of Clarence and Serena Norris. He was an Army veteran of the 1958 Lebanon crisis and a housekeeper for Phoenix Indian Medical Center for 42 years until retirement.
He enjoyed watching Warner Bros. and SpongeBob cartoons, old westerns and war movies. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M.; a son, Michael Norris Jr. of Phoenix; a daughter, Monica Veloz of Avondale; two brothers, Benjamin D. Norris of Laveen and Ruben J. Norris of Casa Grande; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick and Norman Norris.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
