Mildred Jeanette Gehrke

Mildred Jeanette Gehrke, 96, of Coolidge, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2024. She was born on January 2, 1928, in Ironwood, Michigan to William and Lillian Kellett. Mildred was a devoted mother who cherished openness with her children. She instilled a love for life in them by ensuring they had memorable and fun-filled experiences like fishing and camping. Her words of wisdom included encouraging them to "leave yourself open for new experiences." Mildred shared a passion for camping and traveling with her late husband Carl.

Being a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary in Menominee, Michigan held special significance in Mildred's life. May Mildred Jeanette Gehrke be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of those around her and the profound impact she made on her family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories to be cherished by her son and two daughters - Carl Gehrke Jr., Susan Van Hese, and Christine Crevcoure; as well as 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Mildred reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband Carl Gehrke Sr., her parents, brothers, and sisters.
