MARICOPA - Milford Ray Butler Jr., 69, of Maricopa died on July 28, 2014, at home.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Maricopa. The funeral will follow at 11, with Bishop Rob Porter officiating. Burial will be in San Tan Memorial Gardens in Queen Creek.
Mr. Butler was born on Oct. 1, 1944, in Holbrook and was a son of Milford R. Butler Sr. and Virginia Jones. A physicist, he worked for Motorola. He was a member of the LDS church in Maricopa and had served as a high priest and in many other callings. He enjoyed boating, motorcycles and four-wheeling and especially loved trips to Rocky Point. He was a fun-loving guy who loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Judy D.; four sons, Tony Butler of Heber, Michael Butler of Maricopa, Joseph and Jonathan Butler of Mesa; two daughters, Kelly Packer of Mesa and April Cole of Queen Creek; and 16 grandchildren.
