SACATON — Milo James Charlie-Honhongva, 38, died on June 16, 2011, in Sacaton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center. The funeral will be at 4:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton, with lay Pastor Loretta Blackwater officiating. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.
Mr. Charlie-Honhongva was born on Dec. 12, 1972, in Phoenix. He was a welder and construction worker. He was a talented artist whose passion was expressed through many drawings. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, was a devoted friend and was always eager to lend a helping hand.
Survivors include a daughter, Millicent Pratt of Sacaton; a son, Jerrod Miguel of Sacaton; his mother, Cheryl Blackwater of Sacaton; two sisters, Debbie Eschief of Sacaton and Rachael Honhongva of the Hopi Reservation; two brothers, Marlin Honhongva of the Hopi Reservation and Loyd Honhongva of Phoenix; his companion, Eileen Brown; and grandparents, Ernestine Blackwater of Sacaton and Lois and James Honhongva of Old Oraibi.
