Modesta Lopez Rodriguez

CASA GRANDE - Modesta Lopez Rodriguez, 82, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 5, 2017, at home.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born on Sept. 27, 1935, to Pablo C. and Jesusita Torrez Lopez in Garfield, New Mexico. She was most happy when her family was at her house. Any one of her children or grandchildren could stop by at any time and put in their "food request," and within minutes they were enjoying Nana’s home-cooked food, whether it was flat enchiladas, chicken tacos or rice, to name a few. Her love for her family was truly unconditional.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bartolo M.; four sons, Paul, Andres, Cosme and Albert Rodriguez; a daughter, Margarita Belen Rodriguez; two brothers, Juan and Joe Lopez; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bartolo Rodriguez Jr. and Damien Rodriguez, and two brothers, Jimmy and Arturo Lopez.
Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rosary recited at 10:30 and Mass celebrated at 11. Graveside service following in Mountain View Cemetery.
