Morris "Dick" C. Richards , 82, of Casa Grande, AZ., passed away on October 14, 2007. Dick Richards was born September 6, 1925 in Cherokee County, Georgia. He served in the US Navy as a Corporal during WWII and then again in the Korean war where he was attached to the Marine Corp. He then worked at one of the General Motor plants in Georgia. After moving to Casa Grande for medical reasons, he owned and operated Stuckey's at Picacho Peak for 28 years. In 1983 he and his son-in-law, Robert Tapia opened Mi Amigo Ricardo mexican restaurant in Casa Grande. In his spare time he raised exotic animals on his ranch which he would open up to local schools for field trips. Dick is survived by his wife Eleanor of Casa Grande; two daughters, Jeannie M. & (Jim) Agular of Los Gatos, CA., Cindy & (Robert) Tapia of Casa Grande, AZ.; two sons, Robert &(Melissa) Richards of Gilbert, AZ., Michael & (Julie) Richards of Phoenix, AZ.; a brother, Don & (Dee) Richards of Alpharetta, GA.; a sister, Mickey & (Carroll) Richards of Alpharetta, GA.; grandchildren, Kim & (Tom) Rockwell of La Mesa, CA., Tiffany & Traci Tapia of Phoenix, AZ., Tara & (Derek) Ronquillo of Casa Grande, AZ., Ella & Hank Richards of Phoenix, AZ.; great grandchildren, Taitum & Rilyn Ronquillo and Morgan Rockwell. Preceding him in death is his parents and his second wife, Jean Richards. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel located at 525 N. Peart Rd. Casa Grande, AZ. Burial will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cole & Maud The Garden Chapel.
