Murray Lorenzo Johnson, 65, of Casa Grande died Dec. 14, 2008 in Mesa.
Mr. Johnson was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and was a son of Willard Johnson and Daisy Richmond. He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964. In 1967 he met the love of his life, Lili Hiatt. They were married on June 15, 1968 and sealed in the Idaho Falls, Idaho, temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on March 17, 1972.
With sacrifice and support from his wife, he continued his education. He received a bachelor of science degree in construction management in 1998 and master of business administration in 2008. At the time of his death, he was director of tribal projects for the Gila River Indian Community.
He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Lili and Julie. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Dana; two sons, Daniel and Shawn Ritzman; two brothers, Willard and Larry Johnson; a sister, Neva Conrad; and two grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the LDS Casa Grande Stake Center. Interment will be in Groveland Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho, on Saturday under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
