SACATON - Myra Morago, 80, of Sacaton died on Dec. 9, 2014, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton. The funeral will follow at 10, with Pastor Bruce Williams officiating. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.
Mrs. Morago was born on April 10, 1934, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Lyman and Juanita Wellington. She was a homemaker and loved to go to church and sing in the choir. She attended community events, prayer meetings, services on Sunday and Wednesday, and local revivals and camp meetings.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, was a very good cook and loved to shop and go to her grandsons’ basketball games. Recently she attended adult day care at Caring House.
Survivors include five daughters, Delphine Morago, Florine Sabori, Leona, Donna and Della Morago, all of Sacaton; four sons, Delmer, Bruce, Willard and William Morago, all of Sacaton; two sisters, Wynona Pratt and Louella Hendricks of Sacaton; a brother, Wilfred Wellington of Sacaton; 38 grandchildren; and 65 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas; a sister, Elvira Wellington; a brother, Leon Wellington; a granddaughter, Adda Morago; and a great-grandson, Erwin Morago.
