CASA BLANCA - Myra P. Norris, 83, died on Nov. 2, 2015, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday at the District 5 Service Center. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Tuesday at Santan Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Norris was born on Jan. 10, 1932, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Charlie Jones and Olive Stewart. Called "Grandma" by many, she was a homemaker and a strong Christian and Presbyterian who enjoyed listening to gospel choirs.
Most of all she loved spending time with family members and friends. She was a loving, caring lady, always giving and helping anyone who needed her.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Jefferson of Bapchule, Sandra Norris of Phoenix and Deborah Norris of Casa Blanca; six sons, Jon, Joseph, Justin and Elijah Norris, David and Lucius Seytoyant, all of Casa Blanca; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dana R. Norris Sr., a former governor of the Gila River Indian Community; a daughter, Sonja Norris-Seytoyant; and a son, Dana Norris Jr.
