FLORENCE - Myra Regine Williams, 54, of Florence died Feb. 26, 2008 at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 a.m. today at Indian Assembly of God in Coolidge. The funeral there will follow at 10, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Burial will be in Santan West Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 28, 1953 in San Carlos. She was a cheerleader while attending Southwestern Indian School. She graduated from Eastern Arizona College. She was a game warden on the San Carlos Apache Reservation and worked for tribal youth programs in Peridot for a while. She later was a detention officer.
She liked crafts and especially enjoyed beadwork, arranging flowers and gardening. She enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and bowling. She loved to travel, especially to bowling and basketball tournaments. She enjoyed singing and appeared as a soloist. She was an active member of her church and enjoyed visiting others. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Denny; two sons, Bernalio Thorne of Scottsdale and Denny C. Williams of Santan; two brothers, David Smith of Peridot and Tim Smith of Fallon, Nev.; two sisters, Inez Dan of Peridot and Naomi R. Smith of Tempe; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Maudie Patten.
