MARICOPA - Myrna J. (Enos) Wagner, 79, died on Sept. 11, 2019, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.

Mrs. Wagner was born on May 16, 1940, in Phoenix and was a daughter of Theodore and Lena (Thomas) Enos and a member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. She lived most of her life in the Ak-Chin Indian Community and Maricopa.

She enjoyed time with her family, crocheting, going to the movies and watching "Mollie B Polka Party." She especially loved listening and dancing to chicken scratch music. She was well regarded as the matriarch of both her families in Ak-Chin and Salt River. She worked for the Maricopa Unified School District for 48 years as an educational assistant and bus driver before retiring in 2012.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Wagner of Maricopa; a brother, Terry O. Enos of Ak-Chin; a sister, Theda (Enos) Corona of Salt River; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. "Sonny" Wagner; a sister, Phoebe A. Enos; a brother, Danny R. Enos; and a great-grandson, Cooper W. Wagner.
