BLACKWATER — Myrna Corrine Lopez, 69, of Coolidge died on Feb. 27, 2011, in Coolidge.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 1 Service Center. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Indian Assembly of God, with the Rev. Kennard Johns officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater West Cemetery.
Mrs. Lopez was born on July 26, 1941, in Blackwater and was a daughter of James L. and Nellie I. Johns. She was a homemaker and a strong Christian woman, devoted to her Lord, and enjoyed sharing the word of God. She collected rocks and enjoyed reading and singing. She also collected knickknacks and enjoyed shopping, especially at thrift stores. She was very loving and a great listener. She enjoyed spending time with the children in her family.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, John A.; three daughters, Marilyn F. Lewis of Casa Grande, Iris Johns Steele of Arizona City and Natalie Johns Antone of Ak-Chin; a son, Terrance Johns of Casa Grande; a sister, Janice Coronado of Sacaton; a brother, Kennard Johns of Blackwater; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lebain “Ed” Johns Sr., Fred Harvey, Duriat Johns Sr. and Elwyn Johns Sr., and three sisters, Roberta Gonzales, Karen Casillas and Delsi Johns.
