ARIZONA CITY — Nancy Ann Garza Symmonds, 38, of Arizona City died peacefully on June 23, 2013, at Hospice Family Care in Casa Grande, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God in Eloy. A celebration of life will follow at 10, with Pastor Edward Wooten officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Symmonds was born on Sept. 12, 1974, in Casa Grande. She was a homemaker and was known for her beautiful smile, generous spirit and love for family and friends. She loved to collect anything with red apples, Strawberry Shortcake Dolls and Piglet figurines from the Winnie the Pooh series. She was inseparable from her dachshund, Dora.
She loved vacationing with her family at her favorite places, which included the beach in San Diego, SeaWorld and Disneyland. Her last adventure with her family was in March of this year in Sedona. She also enjoyed going to the movies, showing off her rose garden and the simplest things in life.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, John E.; a son and two daughters, Jonathan R. Symmonds and Mercedes M.A. Martinez of Casa Grande and Jasmine N. Symmonds of Arizona City; her parents, Abel and Anna Garza of Picacho; three sisters, Veronica R. Garza and Michelle D. Garza McLaughlin of Picacho and Roseanna M. Garza of Arizona City; and a brother, Abel Ryan Garza of Phoenix.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
