Nellie Aviles

Nellie Aviles, age 88, of Florence, passed away peacefully at her home. Born on September 21, 1936, in Mammoth to Manuel and Frances Zapata, she lived a life dedicated to her faith and family.

A devoted Christian, Nellie was passionate about sharing the Gospel and found great joy in reading the Bible. She enjoyed worshiping at the Indian Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor John Davis. Nellie would share Christ wherever she was. 

While Nellie was a private person, she deeply valued family gatherings and enjoyed the company of her loved ones. Her independent spirit led her to travel, finding joy in gardening and caring for her pets. She was well informed with world and local events. 

Nellie is survived by her two sons, Anthony and Charlie, and her four daughters, Annette, Delma, Mercy, and Lydia. She will be dearly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

 A memorial service to celebrate Nellie's life will be held on Saturday, January 18th, at 10:00 AM at the Indian Assembly of God, located at 283 W. Pima Avenue in Coolidge, with a light reception to follow.
