Nellie Catharine Baker, 83, of Casa Grande, a retired business owner, died on April 21, 2012, at home.
The graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Mountain View Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Lonnie W. Gee officiating.
Mrs. Baker was born on Sept. 17, 1928, in Hollidaysburg, Pa., and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reffner. She owned and operated Flo's Coffee Shop, where CookEJar now is located, in downtown Casa Grande for more than 20 years. She attended First Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren but said she spent most of her time trying to keep her husband, Louis "Gene," in line.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Rubi Baker of Palmdale, Calif., and Barbara A. Baker of Indio, Calif.; two brothers, Ralph and Sonny Reffner of Casa Grande; a sister, Ruby Walther of Casa Grande; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Bailey; two sisters, Elaine Russ and Betty Seudder; and two brothers, Elwood and Regis Reffner.
