Neva had a great sense of humor and always wanted to help others. She was an avid reader of american history and she was a huge movie buff. She was a lifetime member of the hospital auxiallary, and was the owner of Neva's Yarn Shop in the Casa Grande Mall. She did excellent needlepoint work, she was a member of several needlepoint guilds and traveled to needlepoint seminars all over the country. She was a chairman of the Odam Tash Arts & Crafts for several years and also a Southern Calvary Baptist church life member. For over 50 years Neva enjoyed having family and friends over for holiday dinners, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was Valedictorian of Santa Cruz Valley Union High School in 1952. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Kirkland of Casa Grande.
Burial was held at Mt. View Cemetery.
