ARIZONA CITY - Nicolas Garcia, 65, of Arizona City died on March 6, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Mr. Garcia was born on April 20, 1950, in Casa Grande and was a son of Nicolas and Maria Garcia. He was a good welder and coached Little League baseball and softball. He took pride in raising livestock and liked gardening, being outside, taking long rides and exploring the desert.
He loved to watch western movies and was a big fan of the Cardinals and Diamondbacks. He loved his grandkids and spending time and doing things with them. He liked to barbecue with his family and would do that wherever and whenever he could.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; a daughter, Frances Garcia-Lawson of Casa Grande; a son, Adrian Sanchez of Casa Grande; a sister, Terri Garcia of Casa Grande; two brothers, Santos Garcia of Casa Grande and Jesse Garcia of Mexico; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Placido Garcia.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Ariel Lustan. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
