Niel Q. Thomas

CHUICHU - Neil Q. Thomas, 39, died on Dec. 11, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Mr. Thomas was born on June 10, 1977, in Phoenix to Lyda Thomas Dykes. Called by his wife a simple man, he enjoyed listening to his music, and hip hop was his favorite. He worked in construction as a framer for United Construction Group and loved his job.

He also loved spending time with his family, taking walks in the morning and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Amber Ahmsaty Thomas; four daughters, Roxanne Ahmsaty, Zaina, Alyssa and Sanishya Thomas, all of Chuichu; and six sons, Neil Thomas Jr., Elijah, Khyree and Xavieon Thomas, all of Chuichu, Tahrik and Nevari Thomas. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 5 p.m Monday, Dec. 19, at the Rufus Thomas home in Chuichu, with a wake following from 6 until 2 a.m. Burial 7 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Chuichu North Cemetery.
