Nina Pomeroy

FLORENCE — Nina Lucille Pomeroy, 80, of Florence died on Feb. 26, 2011.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel, with Pastor Ralph Gault officiating.
Mrs. Pomeroy was born on Jan. 26, 1931, in La Porte, Ind., and was a daughter of Carl and Ruth Jensen, the oldest of 16 children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning. She loved to weed and couldn’t miss her favorite soap opera, “All My Children.” She wrote good letters, had a fondness for Tweety Bird and was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jerry; two sons, Steven Pomeroy of Loxley, Ala., and Scott Pomeroy of Kentwood, Mich.; three daughters, Susan Seifert of South Bend, Ind., Sheryl Fischer of Hudsonville, Mich., and Sharla Stiles of Chaparral, N.M.; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Pomeroy, and great-grandchildren, Brianna Seifert and Kaitlyn Fischer.
