Nora Johnson

Nora Lee Johnson, 80, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 23, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 11, with Pastor Billy Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born on Nov. 23, 1931, in Tollette, Ark., and was a daughter of George and Ethel Smith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and shopping. She was a big Suns and Diamondbacks fan and enjoyed being with her family. She also was a Christian and a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Johnson of Casa Grande; two brothers, Pleas and James Smith of Tucson; two sisters, Jolene Cooper and Shirley Thomas of Tucson; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J.; two sons, Gary and Leon Johnson; a daughter, Ethel Johnson; and three sisters, Willie B. Musgrove, Linda Bacon and Melrose Johnson.
