CASA GRANDE - Norma A. (Bravo) Navarro, 78, of Phoenix and formerly of Casa Grande, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on June 13, 2016.
Mrs. Navarro was born to Alma and Emmanuel Bravo on May 9, 1938, in Chicago. She was married for 58 years to the love of her life, John Navarro. They moved to Casa Grande with four young children in 1973. She worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security both in Casa Grande and Phoenix as a personnel analyst. There, she continued her work for others, striving to make life better for those around her.
After her career with the state, she retired to devote her time to her husband and family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. She was a person who welcomed all people with an open heart and gentle spirit, which continues today in the lives of her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, John Navarro of Oceanside, California; three daughters, Denise Huddleston of Chandler, Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons of Casa Grande and Lynn Tisdale of Chandler; two sisters, Jackie Juarez of Munster, Indiana, and Linda Gonzalez of Chicago; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles Bravo, and a sister, Antoinette Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler at 1 p.m.
