Norma Jean Moore Benedict

CASA GRANDE - Norma Jean Moore Benedict, 64, died on July 10, 2016, at her home in Casa Grande.

Dr. Benedict was born on Sept. 4, 1951, in Florence to Woodman and Juanita (McCullough) Moore and raised in Coolidge, where she graduated from high school. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, taught elementary school, then received a master’s degree from Arizona State University and doctorate from Walden University.

She took utmost pride in her four children, Jera Lynn, Dan, Katie and Alexis. She valued her time with her husband, Jeril, and guidance from in-laws Sam and Kay Benedict. She celebrated the birth and growing lives of each of her six grandchildren. She was known for her vibrant and caring nature and held close to her each of her friends, family and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and also is survived by a sister, Brenda Westall.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The memorial service there will be at 2 p.m. Friday.
