Odella Jones

BLACKWATER — Odella Mae Jones, 69, of Blackwater died on July 1, 2010, in Gilbert.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at the District 1 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 5 a.m. Saturday in West Blackwater Cemetery, with Iris Steele officiating.
Ms. Jones was born on Nov. 26, 1940, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Herman and Esther Jones. She was a cook for Blackwater Elderly Center. She enjoyed gardening and flower arranging for holiday gifts to family and friends. She also enjoyed going on trips, cooking, baking and family gatherings.
She always was willing to lend a helping hand, an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on. She was an active member of Blackwater Elderly Center. She was proud to be an accomplished basket dancer.
Survivors include a brother, Boyd Jones of Blackwater, and two sisters, Nancy and Lucille Jones of Blackwater. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar B. Jones.
