Odis Lee “Jack” Grubbs, 92, of Casa Grande died on April 16, 2010 in Chandler.
The service of remembrance will be at 10 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Grubbs was born on Aug. 25, 1917 in Coalgate, Okla., to Mamie and Nathan Grubbs. He served in the Army during World War II, from March 1941 until 1945, and received many decorations. He later was a submergible pump engineer, working on farms and ranches all over Arizona. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and country-western music. He lived in Casa Grande for much of his life.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ruddy of Mesa and Brenda Whitman of Gulfport, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline Ellis of Casa Grande; a sister, Wallena Jennings of Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie F.; five brothers, Murray, Ernie, Joe, Eugene and Kenneth Grubbs; and three sisters, Susie Allen, Juanita Dwight and Wanda Ohm.
