Oliver Roberts Jr.

Mr. Oliver Roberts Jr. was born May 26, 1942, to Mr. Oliver and Mrs. Evelyn Roberts Sr. in Prairie Lea, Texas.
The family moved to Austin, Texas, where Oliver attended elementary school and graduated from Anderson High
School. After graduating high school he was drafted and served in the United States Airforce.

Later Oliver met and married Ms. Jonel Harris. In that union, three children were born- Debra Lewis (Sylvester) of
Tucson, Arizona, Sharon Tippit (Allen) of Dallas, Texas, and Lisa Roberts of Atlanta Georgia.

In 1972 Oliver moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he met and married Vivian “Pat” Terry. To this union, one son was
born, Dr. Shannon Roberts of Tucson, Arizona, two stepchildren Anthony Sims (Kim) of Sacramento, California,
and Andrea Sims of Dallas, Texas.

Later in life, he met his partner of more than 40 years, Mrs. Nellie Polley. With this came six stepchildren - Joann
Coleman (Royce), La Joyce Nails (Michael), Carla Rizzo (Michael), Paul Polley, all of Casa Grande, Arizona, Tye
Polley (Holly) of Mesa, Arizona, and Herbert Polley (Sue) of Tulsa Oklahoma.

Oliver worked many trades throughout his life, including construction work, but most of his life, he worked as a
truck driver, a trade most familiar to many, a trade which he loved doing. For fun, Oliver loved fishing and was an
avid golfer. Oliver was also a senior ranking member of the Mason’s.

Oliver was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Roberts Sr., and one son Anthony Sims.

Oliver is survived by his partner Nellie Polley, his mother Evelyn Roberts of Austin, Texas, 11 children all listed
above, two brothers - Rev. Charles Roberts (Mary) and George “Kenneth” Roberts, three sisters - Josephine
Williams, Janet Mack, and Pastor Georgia Ealy all of Austin Texas. One uncle - Lee Roy Harris of Seguin, Texas.
A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
