Born in Mesa, AZ, she was a daughter of Policarpo and Rita Garcia. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church and Guadalupanas there, as well as of American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for Champion Textiles in Casa Grande and in Arizona City. She also was a teacher's aide at Casaa Grande Unio High School, drove lunch wagon there and worked in the cafeteria. She was a co-owner of Amaro Carpets Sales and Service in Casa Grande from 1963 to 1982. She loved to sing, dance, and be a part of as many weddings as she could. She was devoted to her family.
