Pasquale Thomas "Pat" Dechiara

ARIZONA CITY - Pasquale Thomas "Pat" DeChiara, 92, of Arizona City died peacefully on Aug. 24, 2020.

Mr. DeChiara was born on Nov. 5, 1927, in Morristown, New Jersey, a son of Raphael and Lucia (Barone) DeChiara. He proudly served as an Army medic in World War II and Korea. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years beginning in Morristown, where he became the assistant postmaster. In 1980 he became postmaster in Livingston, New Jersey, and retired in 1986.

He was a lively and generous host where the champagne always flowed and the Sinatra always played. He also lived in Chantilly, Virginia, and Morris Plains, New Jersey.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Franz DeChiara; two daughters, Patricia Ann and Luann Levitt; a son, Raphael; a sister, Frances Bolton; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Ann (DeCaro); a son, John; and a brother, Raymond.

Private burial.
