UPPER SANTAN - Patsy Louise Johns, 45, of Phoenix died on Feb. 28, 2016, at Banner-University Medical Center, Phoenix Campus.

Ms. Johns was born on Oct. 14, 1970, in Phoenix. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and especially her children. Her passion was making pastries. A member of Upper Santan Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed going to traditional festivals and events.

Survivors include a daughter, Star Angel Ruiz of Colorado; a son, Meinred Knox Jr. of Santan; two sisters, Alexine Avila of Phoenix and Glenda Johns of Komatke; and five brothers, Rodney Johns of Sacaton, Joseph Vincent of Tucson, Hector Vincent of Goodyear Village, Adren and Patrick Johns Jr. of Casa Blanca. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick S. and Geraldine R. Johns; a son, Ronald J. Apkaw; and a daughter, Cynthia A. Apkaw.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the District 3 Service Center. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Friday at Upper Santan Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Upper Santan Cemetery.
