Paul Mason Grasty, passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2024, in Casa Grande, Az. Paul was the quintessential example of hard work and dedication. He owned and operated Selma Farms for 30 plus years. His love was for cotton farming and the passion and drive he had could be heard and seen in any conversation or ride with him around the farm. He spent his entire life in Casa Grande and was never far from a farm field let alone cotton field.
Paul was a man of immense humor and wisdom. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, family, friends and really anyone he came in contact with. He was loved by many and made everyone feel welcome. He had a way of making someone laugh even if you were a complete stranger to him. His heart was often bigger than it should have been and he would have given the shirt of his back to anyone in need.
Paul had a love for sports, all sports, but especially football. He was a die hard Arizona Cardinals and ASU fan. He always gave his daughter a hard time on football Sundays and you dare not say that you were an Arizona Wildcats fan as you would be on his list of targeted jokes. He never missed a game on the weekends and some of his fondest memories were going to football games.
Paul loved a good meal and did not miss a beat when it came to an invitation for lunch or dinner. His favorite restaurant being Mi Amigo Ricardo. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and his daughter’s first words may have been red mixed burro enchilada style with sour cream on the side.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Grasty (Jason) of Madison, Wi; his former wife and friend Christal Grasty of Casa Grande; step children Kim Kortsen and Joseph Nunn; Nephew Jason Hoard of Green Valley; brother Tom Grasty of Casa Grande and two sisters Mary Jane Hoard (Steven) of Green Valley and Carol Grasty of Casa Grande.
Paul was proceeded in death by his father Emmett C Grasty and his mother Mary Lois Grasty.
Paul would have wanted family and friends to come together, celebrate, laugh and tell all his stories. Thus, a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone at Banner Hospital and Dr. Muthu’s office for the exceptional medical care over the years and all that helped care for him in during his hardest days. He was loved by all and his memories will live on in every life he touched.
